Lorsque le Duke a compos\u00e9 cette chanson en 1931, il a pens\u00e9 \u00e0 la baptiser par cette formule, car la composition \u00e9tait presque arch\u00e9typale de ce qu&rsquo;est le swing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Avec le temps, c&rsquo;est devenu non seulement l&rsquo;un des standards plus connus de Duke Ellington, avec notamment son c\u00e9l\u00e8bre refrain chant\u00e9 en scat (\u00ab\u00a0Duh-wah-du-wah-du-wah-du-wah-du\u00a0\u00bb), mais carr\u00e9ment un manifeste de \u00ab\u00a0l&rsquo;\u00e8re du swing\u00a0\u00bb, celle des grands orchestres (les fameux \u00ab\u00a0big bands\u00a0\u00bb).
